Frequently asked questions

Your questions, real answers

21 answers on coaching, pricing, nutrition and the team. If yours is not here, ask it directly — it will probably end up on this page.

The coaching

I am a complete beginner. Is coaching right for me?

Yes, and it is actually the best moment to be coached. Learning the right movement patterns from the start saves years of bad habits and injuries. The work adapts to every level, from complete beginner to experienced athlete.

How many sessions a week should I plan for?

Two to three sessions a week are enough to make real progress, provided you are consistent. The programme is built around the time you actually have, not a theoretical ideal you will not keep.

Where do the sessions take place?

At your home, in a partner gym or outdoors, depending on your goal and your equipment. The location is decided together during the initial assessment.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Sessions can be booked one at a time, but a visible transformation usually takes three to six months. Packages exist precisely to build that consistency.

Do I need equipment for online coaching?

No. The programme is built with what you have: a gym, home equipment, or simply your body weight. The initial assessment takes stock before anything is programmed.

Will I have to follow a strict diet?

No. The work is on eating habits: adjusting quantities, timing and quality, starting from what you already eat and enjoy. A plan you hate is a plan you will abandon.

I am coming back from an injury. Is that possible?

Yes, with clearance from your doctor or physiotherapist. The return is progressive, and mobility and prevention work sit at the centre of the programming.

How does the first contact work?

Through the Express Fitness Assessment: a few questions online, then a phone or WhatsApp conversation to understand your goal and check that the coaching matches what you are looking for. Free, no commitment.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Bank transfer, card and cash. An invoice is issued for every service.

Pricing and logistics

How is pricing decided?

It depends on the format (one-to-one, duo, small group, online) and on the location. The price is given during the initial assessment, with a written quote, because that is when the exact format is decided.

Can I book single sessions?

Yes. Packages exist to build consistency and to bring the per-session price down, but nothing forces you to commit to a volume from the start.

What happens if I go on holiday?

The coaching is paused or adapted, whichever you prefer. Many clients travel with a lighter programme that needs no equipment.

Do you offer corporate coaching?

Yes, in small groups on site or outdoors. The format and the quote depend on the number of participants and the frequency you want.

Do you work outside the listed areas?

It is possible depending on scheduling and distance. The simplest thing is to ask: if in-person is not realistic, online coaching is open anywhere.

Nutrition

Is nutrition support included in the coaching?

Practical food guidance is part of every coaching package. In-depth nutrition support, with weekly adjustments and intake tracking, is a separate service.

Are you a dietitian or a nutritionist?

No, and the distinction matters: those are protected titles in France. As a sports coach, I work on eating habits within a sports context. In case of illness, pregnancy or an eating disorder, the support comes alongside a healthcare professional, never instead of one.

How does the custom recipe book work?

You fill in a detailed questionnaire (goal, calorie needs, allergies, foods you dislike, cooking time, budget, equipment). I then build a recipe booklet with calories and macronutrients per portion, plus the shopping list. Allow five to seven days.

Will I have to weigh all my food?

Not necessarily. Weighing for two or three weeks teaches you the orders of magnitude, and that knowledge stays with you. After that, the structure of the meals is enough in most cases.

Will you sell me supplements?

No. The advice stays independent of any commercial margin: no supplement is required to progress, and nothing will be sold to you during a session.

The JBG athletes

How do I join the JBG team?

The team is not joined on a follower count. We look for people who train seriously, whatever their level, whose approach fits health, performance and longevity, and who want to represent the brand beyond a photo. Write to us through the contact page.

Do I need to be coached by JBG to be part of the team?

No. The team and the coaching are two separate things, even if many athletes are also coached.

A question that is not here?

The quickest route is the phone or WhatsApp. I usually answer the same day.
